the POCKET doula sessions

podcast

The Pocket Doula Sessions podcast isn’t a public podcast - and that’s deliberate.

This is an invite-only audio space for people who want more than surface-level reassurance or rigid birth narratives. It exists because so much of birth preparation is either over-simplified or over-sanitised, leaving very little room for nuance, context, or honest conversation about how birth actually unfolds inside real systems.

These sessions explore the parts of birth prep that rarely make it into mainstream courses or bite-sized content — the grey areas, the tensions, the unspoken dynamics, and the decisions that don’t come with neat answers. The kind of preparation that doesn’t promise a perfect birth, but does leave you steadier, clearer, and harder to knock off centre.

Each session is shaped by lived experience in birth rooms, deep familiarity with the NHS and independent care, and years of supporting people through moments where theory collides with reality. This isn’t about telling you what to choose — it’s about helping you understand how choices are framed, where pressure shows up, and how to stay anchored in yourself when it matters most.

The Pocket Doula Sessions is designed to sit alongside you quietly — in the car, on a walk, late at night — offering perspective, language, and insight that most birth spaces avoid. Not because it’s too complex, but because it asks more of the listener.

This is preparation for people who want to think, feel, and decide with clarity — and who understand that the deepest confidence comes from nuance, not certainty.

If you’re here, you were meant to be.
